The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Kenneth Marvin Bray, also known as Marvin Bray, aged 54 from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm charge. The charge, “Felon in Possession of Firearm,” carries a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Bray was indicted for knowingly possessing a 9mm semi-automatic pistol on November 30, 2023. This occurred after he had previously been convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.
The investigation leading to this charge involved the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Bray’s plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report will be completed as ordered by the court.
A U.S. District Court Judge will decide on Bray’s sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.
Until sentencing, Bray remains in custody under the United States Marshals Service.
