A resident of Colbert, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm offense. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Justin Eagle Chambers, 39, admitted to one count of Possession of Firearm & Ammunition by Prohibited Person. This charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

According to the indictment, on March 26, 2025, Chambers knowingly possessed a pistol and ammunition after being given actual notice during a hearing that he was subject to a court order. The order restrained him from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or engaging in conduct that could place an intimate partner in reasonable fear of bodily injury. It also explicitly prohibited the use or threatened use of physical force.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Chambers’ plea and ordered a presentence investigation report. Sentencing will be determined by a U.S. District Court Judge who will consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Chambers is currently held in custody by the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lewis M. Reagan represented the government in this case.
