FOIA Request to University of Oklahoma-Health Sciences Center regarding Public University FY 2024 Employee Salaries on December 5, 2025.

Sooner State News has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the University of Oklahoma-Health Sciences Center. The request seeks detailed records of employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024. This inquiry is made under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 §24A.1 et seq., with a preference for receiving the information in electronic format.

The requested records include various data fields such as Fiscal Year, Employee Name, Gender, Age or Year of Birth, Date of Birth, Employer Name, Title or Position, Department, Hire Date, Compensation Amount (including base pay and any additional pay), Compensation Type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and Employment Type (full-time or part-time). Sooner State News acknowledges that not all fields may be present in every record but requests the production of all responsive records regardless. If any portion of a record is deemed exempt from disclosure, they ask that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form.

As members of the media committed to providing transparency and holding public institutions accountable, Sooner State News has also requested a fee waiver based on their role in disseminating information to the public. They are affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, which assists media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies using FOIA and Sunshine Laws.
