US Senator James Lankford (R-OK), serving as Republican Conference Vice Chair, and 30 other members of the Senate Republican Conference released a video message to mark the 24th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The statement honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the attacks, recognizes the courage shown by first responders, and acknowledges the ongoing service of American military personnel in defending against terrorism.

“We will never forget those we lost on September 11th, the heroes who rushed into danger to save others, and all those who have served our nation since that day,” said Senator Lankford. “Today we pause to remember their sacrifice and reaffirm our commitment to protect our country from those who wish us harm.”

The Senators’ message aims to reflect on both the tragedy of September 11th and the continuing efforts made by service members and first responders across the country.
