An Oklahoma Centennial Farm award has been presented to the owners of a farm in LeFlore County, as announced by Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Lynda Ozan. The Duncan Family Farm, owned by Greg Duncan and Rodger Duncan, is located near Spiro. This farm has been in the family since 1915 when great-grandfather Roger B. Duncan settled on the land.

The Centennial Farm or Ranch Award requires that a property be occupied by a family member for at least 100 years and currently operated or occupied by a family member or leased out by one. Additionally, the property must have a minimum of 40 acres and generate gross annual sales of at least $1,000.

The awards have been sponsored for 36 years by the Oklahoma Historical Society and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. In this period, two awards have been given in LeFlore County.
