Live episode of “A Very OK Podcast” set for February 12 at Will Rogers Museum

The Oklahoma Historical Society will take its podcast, “A Very OK Podcast,” on the road for a live recording at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 12, at 6 p.m., and will focus on the life and legacy of Will Rogers, known as “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son.” The public is invited to attend and watch the recording.

Hosts Trait Thompson and Dr. Bob Blackburn will discuss Rogers’ upbringing in the Cherokee Nation, his career in vaudeville and movies, his family life, and his connection to Route 66, also called the Will Rogers Highway. Special guests include Tad Jones, director of the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, and Jennifer Rogers, Will Rogers’ great-granddaughter.

“Admission to this event is free, and refreshments will be generously provided by the Will Rogers Memorial Foundation.”

The Oklahoma Historical Society serves as Oklahoma’s official historical agency.
