Man pleads guilty to illegal firearm possession in Oklahoma

Tyrone Noble, a 58-year-old individual, has pled guilty to the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. This plea was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The charge carries a potential penalty of up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Noble was indicted for knowingly possessing a 12-gauge shotgun and five rounds of ammunition on December 2, 2024. This occurred after he had been previously convicted of a crime that warranted more than one year of imprisonment.

The investigation leading to this charge was conducted by the Okfuskee County Sheriff’s Office along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Noble’s plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered following this acceptance.

A U.S. District Court Judge will decide Noble’s sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant statutory factors.

Noble is currently held by the United States Marshals Service as he awaits sentencing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Gross represented the prosecution in this case.
