The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Santos Reyes-Garcia, also known as Edgar Benjamin Colorado Mora, Edgar Colorado-Moran, and Santos Garcia Reyes, has pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry of a removed alien. Reyes-Garcia, a 37-year-old Mexican national unlawfully present in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, faces a potential prison sentence of up to two years and a fine not exceeding $250,000.

The charge against Reyes-Garcia resulted from an investigation conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division. According to the indictment, he was found in the United States on May 5, 2025, after having been previously removed without obtaining consent from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America. The initiative involves collaboration among various resources within the Department of Justice to combat illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime. Efforts are streamlined through the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Reyes-Garcia’s plea and ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. A U.S. District Court Judge will later determine his sentence based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Pending sentencing, Reyes-Garcia will remain in custody under the supervision of the United States Marshals Service. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dak T. Cohen represented the government in this case.
