Victoriano Ponce-Garcia, a 53-year-old Mexican national, was sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry after previously being removed from the United States. The sentencing took place in Muskogee, Oklahoma, as announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Ponce-Garcia pleaded guilty on May 27, 2025. Investigators reported that he was found in Oklahoma on April 11, 2025, after having been removed from the country in both 2009 and 2020. He did not have permission from the Secretary of Homeland Security to reapply for admission to the United States.

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division along with the Coalgate Police Department.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, which is a nationwide initiative involving resources from the Department of Justice. The operation aims to address illegal immigration and target cartels and transnational criminal organizations through collaboration between Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dak T. Cohen represented the government in this matter.
