Cesar Briseno Mauricio, a 26-year-old Mexican national, has been sentenced to time served for unlawful reentry into the United States. The sentencing took place in Muskogee, Oklahoma, as announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Mauricio was found unlawfully present in Love County, Oklahoma. He pleaded guilty on January 7, 2026, to reentering the country without permission after being previously removed on March 18, 2020. Authorities from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol conducted the investigation leading to his arrest.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America. According to officials, this initiative aims to use all available resources from the Department of Justice to address illegal immigration and target criminal organizations that operate across borders.
Senior District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jonathan E. Soverly and Nicole Paladino prosecuted the case.
