Muskogee man sentenced to over five years for methamphetamine distribution

Dewayne Tyree Miller, also known as Dejuan Tyree Miller, a 28-year-old resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 70 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The sentencing was announced by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Muskogee Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Miller pleaded guilty to the charge on March 3, 2025.

According to investigators, on July 17, 2024, officers conducted a routine traffic stop during which Miller admitted to possessing methamphetamine. Officers found two baggies containing about 40 grams of methamphetamine and $950 in cash in his possession.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing hearing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Miller will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until he is transported to a facility designated by the United States Bureau of Prisons to serve his sentence without parole.
