The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) has announced Lawrence Davis as the new Chair-Elect for its Board of Trustees for 2025-2026. Davis will assume the role of Board Chair on July 1, 2026. The museum also welcomed seven new members to its Board of Trustees.

Davis has been a supporter of OKCMOA for over two decades and joined the board in 2022. He has chaired the Audit Committee since 2023 and served on several other committees, including Finance & Investment, Resource Development, and Collections, Exhibitions & Film Committees. His previous roles include President and Managing Director at MAP Energy LLC’s Natural Gas Division.

“It is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility to step into the role of Chair of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art,” Davis said. “I follow in the footsteps of many remarkable individuals who have helped shape the OKCMOA into one of Oklahoma City’s true cultural gems.”

Davis emphasized that his role would involve guiding a professional Board of Trustees while supporting CEO Michael Anderson and museum staff.

Suzette Hatfield will complete her term as Board Chair in 2026, after which she will serve as Past Chair.

The newly elected board members are Brooke Baum from Devon Energy Corporation, Julie Beffort as a community volunteer, Lindsey Hightower Graham from Casady School, Ken Miller from OG&E, Matt Tipton from whyHR, Anthony Warren from Energy Financial, and Robert “Bobby” Wegener from MAP Energy. Their diverse expertise is expected to contribute significantly to OKCMOA’s mission as a leading arts nonprofit in Oklahoma City.
