Oklahoma opens applications for 2026 specialty crop block grants

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has announced that applications are now open for the 2026 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. The grants aim to support projects in areas such as research, promotion, marketing, nutrition, food safety and security, education, increasing knowledge and consumption of specialty crops, improving efficiency and reducing costs in distribution systems, conservation efforts, product development, agricultural practices, good handling practices and good manufacturing practices.

The department specified that proposals benefiting only individual growers or businesses will not be eligible for funding.

Interested applicants can find more information about the program and application process on the department’s website at https://ag.ok.gov. Completed applications should be submitted by email to Jason.Harvey@ag.ok.gov.
