The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry has announced the selection of 18 high school seniors from across the state to participate in the 2025-26 Oklahoma Agriculture Youth Council. This initiative, established in 2019 by Oklahoma Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur, aims to nurture future leaders in agriculture by providing professional skills training, exposure to various agricultural operations, and short-term job experiences.

The council members for this term are Kaitlin Adams from Amber, Lillian Roush from Arapaho, Faith Wright from Byars, Jolie Perry from Carney, Kaden James from Chandler, Corbin Robbins from Chattanooga, Landry Hunt from Grandfield, Isabella Clay from Haskell, Brianna Payne from Hunter, Kensli Shaffer from Laverne, Wyatt Gilbert from Mannford, Makayla Morris from Ninnekah, Kaden Pliler from Purcell, Annie Schneider from Seiling, Kelton Arthur and Madilyn Bishop both from Stillwater, Carson Payne from Thomas, and Jewel Scherler from Walters.

These students will engage in a year-long program that includes approximately seven sessions and several volunteer opportunities. The sessions will feature visits to agricultural companies and organizations within Oklahoma. Participants will also have the chance to learn about the legislative process and gain insights through job shadowing with industry professionals.
