Oklahoma Softball will host its 15th consecutive NCAA Regional, welcoming Kansas, Michigan, and Binghamton to Love’s Field from May 15 through May 17. The Sooners are the number three national seed for the tournament.

The regional is significant as it marks another milestone in Oklahoma’s consistent performance in NCAA postseason play. The team has advanced to every NCAA Tournament under head coach Patty Gasso and has not played a regional away from Norman since 2010.

The schedule opens Friday with Oklahoma facing Binghamton and Michigan playing Kansas. Saturday and Sunday will feature subsequent rounds, with an if-necessary game scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Binghamton enters after winning the America East Conference Tournament, while Kansas and Michigan secured at-large bids from their respective conferences.

Oklahoma holds an all-time record of 89-20 in NCAA Regional games, including a current streak of 16 straight wins in this round. The Sooners have also won every regional opener since 2009 and boast a home record of 24-1 this season at Love’s Field. Notably, Kendall Wells set several home run records during the season, including the SEC single-season mark and both the NCAA freshman and OU single-season records.

Freshman players Lexi McDaniel, Kai Minor, Allyssa Parker, and Kendall Wells have contributed significantly to Oklahoma’s offense this year. Minor leads the team with a .446 batting average while Wells was named among USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 10 finalists alongside Minor.

Senior Ailana Agbayani recently earned an AUSL Golden Ticket and was drafted by the Chicago Bandits in the third round of the AUSL Draft. Sophomore pitchers Audrey Lowry and Miali Guachino have combined for a strong record on the mound as well.
