The Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library will host a book signing event with travel writer Matt Kirouac on Friday, September 26, at 6 p.m. Kirouac’s latest publication, “Secret Oklahoma: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” highlights lesser-known aspects of Oklahoma.
Kirouac relocated to Oklahoma City after spending more than two years living in an RV. He is recognized for his work as a travel, culture, and food writer with contributions to several major publications including Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic, AFAR, Thrillist, InsideHook, and Midwest Living. He currently serves as the senior dining writer at 405 Magazine. In 2023, he received a Hometown Hero award from Visit OKC. Kirouac has authored “Unique Eats & Eateries of Chicago” and “Secret Oklahoma,” both published by Reedy Press. He also holds the position of communications chair for deadCenter Film Festival.
The event is open to the public free of charge and does not require registration. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase copies of “Secret Oklahoma.”
