Oklahoma Softball announced on May 10 that it has earned the third overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament and will host the Norman Regional at Love’s Field from May 15 to May 17. The regional will include Kansas, Michigan, and Binghamton, as revealed during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show.
The Sooners enter the tournament with a record of 48 wins and eight losses after winning their second consecutive Southeastern Conference Regular Season Championship with a league record of 20-4. This season marks Oklahoma’s fifteenth straight year hosting a regional and the third time that regional play will take place at Love’s Field.
Regional action is set to begin Friday, May 15, when Oklahoma faces Binghamton at 2:30 p.m., followed by Michigan playing Kansas at 5 p.m. Winners from Friday’s games will compete on Saturday afternoon in game three, while Friday’s losing teams meet shortly after for game four. Saturday concludes with an elimination game between the loser of game three and winner of game four.
The winner of the Norman Regional will advance to face the winner of the Eugene Regional hosted by Oregon in the NCAA Super Regionals. Oklahoma is making its thirty-second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Last year, they advanced out of their regional after defeating Boston once and California twice over a three-game weekend.
Season ticket holders who requested postseason tickets will be charged Monday, May 11 as per previous confirmation from Oklahoma Athletics ticket office. A limited number of reserved outfield all-session tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 12 at 10 a.m., priced at $87 each for access to every tournament game. If available, single session seats go on sale Wednesday morning; standing room only tickets may be offered if reserved seats sell out. Ticket updates are available through SoonerSports.com or by contacting the OU Ticket Office.
