The Oklahoma Transportation Commission is set to hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 7, in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building located at 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. The public and media are welcome to attend in person or watch via livestream.

The meeting will include several agenda items for discussion and decision-making. Notably, the commission will welcome Ronnie Boswell as the newly appointed District 1 Commissioner.

One of the key considerations during this session will be the approval of a new edition of the County Improvements for Roads & Bridges 5 Year Construction Work Plan. Additionally, Executive Director Tim Gatz is expected to provide an update on repair efforts for the US-70 Roosevelt Bridge causeway at Lake Texoma.

Furthermore, commissioners will vote on awarding contracts for various projects. These include widening and resurfacing US-270 in Latimer County, similar work on US-177 in Lincoln County, and a pavement rehabilitation project along SH-66 in Creek County.

For those unable to attend, the meeting can be viewed live online through Ustream with recordings available later for public access.

The commission consists of nine members appointed by both the governor and legislative leaders to oversee transportation development across Oklahoma. They regularly award contracts related to road and bridge construction projects each month.
