The Oklahoma Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 5, in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building located at 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. The meeting is open to both the public and media, with an option to attend in person or watch via livestream.

During the session, the American Concrete Pavement Association is scheduled to present the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) with an industry award recognizing quality bridge construction on Interstate 35 in Wynnewood.

Tim Gatz, ODOT Executive Director, will provide updates to commissioners about several major projects set to begin this year. These include work on US-75 over Polecat Creek in Jenks, reconstruction of an interchange on I-40 in Clinton, and ongoing progress on replacing the US-70 Roosevelt bridge.

Gatz will also review ODOT’s key accomplishments and milestones from 2025.

In addition, commissioners will receive information regarding preparations for winter weather and tips for safe driving during the season.

According to the commission, “The commission, a nine-member panel appointed by the governor and legislative leaders to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction monthly.”

A full agenda packet for the meeting is available online. The video livestream can be accessed through Ustream. The meeting will also be recorded, captioned, and made available online at a later date.
