Oklahoma Transportation Commission to discuss winter weather response and major highway project

The Oklahoma Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 2, in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building at 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. The meeting is open to both the public and media, who may attend in person or watch via livestream.

During the session, Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) Executive Director Tim Gatz will provide an update on ODOT’s response to recent winter weather events. The commission is also set to vote on several contracts, including a project exceeding $33 million to add shoulders and repave nine miles of State Highway 33 near Kingfisher.

The commission consists of nine members appointed by the governor and legislative leaders. It oversees transportation development across the state and awards contracts for road and bridge construction each month.
