Muskogee, Oklahoma – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced the sentencing of Gabriel Lee Williams, II, also known as Chi-Chi. The 26-year-old resident of Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, received a sentence of 140 months in prison for illegal firearm possession.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Okmulgee Police Department. On January 13, 2025, Williams pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. Investigators reported that on April 27, 2024, law enforcement found Williams with a 9mm handgun and a .40 caliber handgun after he had been previously convicted of a crime punishable by more than one year in prison.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative that unites different levels of law enforcement and communities to combat violent crime and gun violence. The program aims to enhance safety in neighborhoods through fostering trust and legitimacy within communities, supporting organizations that work to prevent violence before it occurs, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and evaluating outcomes.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Williams will remain under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until his transfer to a designated facility within the United States Bureau of Prisons where he will serve his non-paroleable sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Dean Burris represented the United States in this case.
