Joshua Lee Bolin, a 26-year-old coach at Sallisaw High School in Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to receiving material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Bolin entered his plea to a superseding indictment, which carries a potential penalty of five to twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
According to court documents, Bolin received visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct between January 2024 and June 28, 2024. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sallisaw Police Department.
“The Honorable Gerald L. Jackson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.”
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine Bolin’s sentence after reviewing federal sentencing guidelines and other legal factors.
“Bolin was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.”
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessie K. Pippin and Emily Wittlinger.
