The Sand Springs Police Department has announced the arrest of Enrique Rico Bustamante in connection with a fatal single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of Tulsa resident Amanda Ramirez. The announcement was made through a public statement.
According to KJRH, the incident occurred on August 19, 2025, along eastbound U.S. 412 near 129th West Avenue. The crash led to both occupants being ejected from the vehicle, highlighting the severe impact of the rollover. As a result, highway lanes were closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
Bustamante, aged 41, was taken into custody and booked into Tulsa County Jail. He faces charges of negligent homicide and obstruction and is subject to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold. Despite his claim that he was not driving at the time of the crash, police evidence suggests otherwise. Additionally, it was revealed that Bustamante did not possess a valid driver’s license anywhere in the United States.
The victim, Amanda Ramirez, also aged 41 and from Tulsa, was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures but were unsuccessful.
