A man from Skiatook, Oklahoma, has been indicted on charges related to threats made against federal law enforcement officers. The indictment against Logan Christopher Murfin, 26, was unsealed and includes ten counts.

Murfin faces five counts of threatening to assault and murder federal law enforcement officers with the intent to impede, intimidate, interfere, and retaliate. He is also charged with five counts of interstate communication containing a threat to injure.

Court documents state that Murfin posted several statements on social media advocating violence against federal agents. He allegedly called for agents to be “gunned down, shot, and executed,” and encouraged others to stay armed and kill agents because “the agents don’t deserve to live.”

The investigation is being conducted by Homeland Security Investigations. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma is prosecuting the case.

“An indictment is merely an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
