Protesters flooded the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City yesterday, waving flags and carrying “Stop the Steal” signs.
Fox News reported there were thousands at the event, which was peaceful and ended early after rain swept into the areal.
Trump supporters protested the certification of the Electoral College vote naming Joe Biden president.
Across the country, protesters marched at their statehouses. In Minnesota, there were cheers when the Capitol news broke. In New Mexico, the state police had to evacuate staff as a precaution.
In Utah, Gov. Spencer Cox sent home hundreds of protesters. A small fight broke out in Ohio between pro-Trump demonstrators and counter-protesters. There was at least one person arrested in Oregon and a peaceful rally in Kansas had supporters filing into the statehouse through security checkpoints and walking around historical exhibits.
In Hawaii, protesters lined the road near the capitol building and waved American flags and Trump 2020 flags.
There were also protesters in South Carolina, but they left the statehouse before the attack occurred at the U.S. Capitol.
