The Oklahoma Attorney General has issued the following press release:

OKLAHOMA CITY - Attorney General John O'Connor today issued the following statement:

"I am pleased the Oklahoma Supreme Court has now twice refused to entertain abortion clinics’ attacks on the Oklahoma Heartbeat Act.  The Act, which prohibits abortions after an unborn child's heartbeat is detectable and which contains an exception for the life of a mother, remains in effect in Oklahoma.  The people of Oklahoma have spoken through their elected Representatives, Senators, and their Governor.  The abortion industry has thwarted the wishes of most Oklahomans for decades.  Hopefully, those days are numbered."
