The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of 28-year-old Jose Anaya-Martinez on two counts of lewd molestation, with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold placed following his June 15, 2025, arrest in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. This information was made public through jail booking records.
According to the Tulsa County Jail roster, Anaya-Martinez was booked on June 15, 2025, at 9:26 p.m. under booking number B-0625-05373. Jail records indicate he faces two felony counts of lewd molestation under Oklahoma Title 21 and an immigration detainer marked “HOLD/ICE.” His bond is set at $150,000, and he remains in custody pending both state proceedings and review by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Under Oklahoma Statutes Title 21 § 1123, lewd molestation is defined as any indecent or sexual act involving a minor under the age of 16 and carries severe penalties. A first offense can lead to imprisonment of up to 20 years, while subsequent convictions may result in life sentences without parole. The Oklahoma State Courts Network notes that judges may impose additional restrictions such as sex offender registration, GPS monitoring, and post-release supervision to mitigate community risk.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations division issues detainers to local agencies when noncitizens are charged with serious or violent crimes. In fiscal year 2024, ICE reported more than 170,000 administrative arrests, with over 46% of those individuals facing charges or convictions for assault, sexual offenses, or crimes against children. Federal officials state that cooperation with county jails—like Tulsa County’s—is critical to ensuring that criminal noncitizens are detained pending prosecution and, if convicted, removal from the United States.
The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), established in 1907, serves as the principal law enforcement agency for Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The office oversees jail operations, criminal investigations, patrols, and civil enforcement while employing more than 500 deputies and detention officers. TCSO collaborates with federal agencies including ICE, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the FBI in operating the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center which houses pretrial detainees and inmates awaiting transfer or trial.
