The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that two individuals have pleaded guilty to federal drug charges. Dylan Thomas Emmick, 32, from Purcell, Oklahoma, admitted guilt to one count of Drug Conspiracy. This charge carries a potential sentence of five to 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $5 million.
Kody James Lile, 45, from Lindsay, Oklahoma, also entered a guilty plea. He was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. Like Emmick’s charge, this offense is punishable by five to 40 years in prison and a maximum fine of $5 million.
According to the indictment, Emmick was involved in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine on November 8, 2024. The following day, Lile was found in possession of more than five grams of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute it.
The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Latimer County Sheriff’s Office. The pleas were accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered.
A U.S. District Court Judge will determine their sentences after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors. Both Emmick and Lile are currently held by the United States Marshals Service as they await sentencing.
