The Aggies men's basketball team would hit their halfway stretch of the season Thursday night as they faced University North Texas at Dallas.
In the first half of the game, the Aggies would keep it close within a few points. Senior Rayquan Elliott would get fouled as he attempted a three-point shot. Elliott would knock in all three points making the score 17-18. The Trailblazers would hit a 9-2 run at the 10:43 mark. Sophomore Kaleb Stephens would give the Aggies the lead at the 9:07 mark two good free throws, scoring 27-26. Junior Justin Pile would also hit two free throws at the 6:56 mark giving the Aggies a 6-point lead, and the Trailblazers would return to take the lead and into halftime 51-43.
Coming out of the break, Rayquan Elliott would hit a floater to get within 5 points, but that wouldn't be enough; the Trailblazers would roll for a 10-2 run, which would conclude the game 84-101.
Justin Pile led the Aggies with 28 points and nine rebounds, including one block.
