Chloe Bohuslavicky hit her first multi-homer game as the RiverHawks used the long ball to beat Ouachita Baptist 8-4 Saturday.
The junior who owns the NSU single-season home run mark went yard in the fourth to tie the game at 2-2. She cleared the left field fence an inning later, scoring three additional runs for the RiverHawks.
Ouachita Baptist grabbed a run back in the bottom of the fifth and trailed NSU 5-3. The Tigers threatened in the sixth and managed to get the go-ahead run to the plate. Savannah Evans came in relief and recorded the final two outs to halt the OBU threat.
Addy Wolfe padded the RiverHawks' lead with their third long ball of the game scoring three runs after the Tigers misplayed a ball in the infield to extend the seventh.
Ouachita Baptist (1-1) would threaten late, scoring a run and loading the bases with no outs before Evans punched out the final three batters swinging.
Northeastern State (1-2) had nine hits, with Madison Heinle (1-0) going 5.1 innings. Evans earned her first save of the season.
