CKTC Automotive Service Technology students Trevor Clifton (Carnegie) and Maleki Jones (Mountain View-Gotebo) recently competed in the SkillsUSA Automotive Service Technology Regionals Contest.
Clifton placed 6th out of 36 competitors and Jones placed 2nd out of 36. Maleki won some nice hand prizes for placing 2nd and will be heading to Tulsa for the state contest from April 23rd - April 25th.
Trevor stated that he came to the tech center to hopefully use what he learns as a stepping stone into future careers and pathways. His plan is to work at car dealerships and possibly some big rigs.
Jones says he came to CKTC to gain more knowledge about vehicles, more specifically on the electrical side. When he graduates, Maleki plans on using the knowledge he gained at CKTC to get a job at a car dealership in the Fort Cobb area.
Congratulations gentlemen, we are proud of you!
