C.D. White was a triple short of the cycle Tuesday as the RiverHawks used a seven-run eighth inning to get past Southeastern Oklahoma 12-7 in Durant.
The senior pushed his hitting streak to eight games, had three RBI in NSU's first win at Southeastern since 2020, and prevented a series sweep.
Northeastern State had six of 14 hits in the eighth inning, sending ten batters to the plate. In his fifth start at catcher, Brady Evans hit a go-ahead double down the line to put NSU up 8-7 on Southeastern. Matt Kaiser later tripled in two runs, and White hit his third homer of the season to cap the frame.
Southeastern (6-6) broke a 4-4 tie in the sixth, getting runs on a fielder's choice and a double steal. The Savage Storm held the lead until NSU's big eighth inning.
The RiverHawks had four doubles and swiped three bases on Southeastern as they improved to 6-5 this season.
Isaiah Keller had a pair of hits, pushing his reached-base streak to 11 games.
Ty Van Meter went 5.1 innings in his first start, CJ Briley (2-0) earned the win.
Northeastern State will return home Friday to host Emporia State in their MIAA opener at 2 p.m.
