The Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton will host an open house on December 3, from 1-4 p.m., marking the start of the holiday season. This event is scheduled to coincide with Clinton's Festival of Lights.
Admission to the museum will be free as a gesture of appreciation for the support received over the past year. Volunteers at the museum will provide refreshments for attendees. Visitors are invited to explore the "Discovering 66" exhibit, which showcases photographs by Rhys Martin, president of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association.
In addition to hosting an open house, the museum will participate in the Festival of Lights parade by entering a decorated classic Chevrolet truck. The parade is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Main Street in Clinton.
Located at 2229 W. Gary Blvd., Clinton, the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum operates Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., November through January, and Monday through Saturday during February through October. The museum will be closed from January 1-6.

The Oklahoma Route 66 Museum is part of the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS), which aims to collect, preserve, and share Oklahoma's history and culture.
