The Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum in Pawnee, Oklahoma, will be holding its traditional Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19, beginning at 10 a.m. The event will take place at the ranch's picnic pavilions and will feature a Pawnee Bill impersonator, Kevin Webb, starting off the hunt by firing a pistol.
The event will span several acres of the historic site, with thousands of eggs scattered throughout the area. Among them will be gold and silver prize eggs containing money and vouchers for treats. This annual gathering has its roots in a tradition that began more than 100 years ago when Pawnee Bill himself held egg hunts at his ranch.
The event is co-sponsored by the Pawnee Lions Club and the Pawnee Chamber of Commerce. Individuals seeking further details can contact the ranch at 918-762-2513. The Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum is located at 1141 Pawnee Bill Rd. in Pawnee.
As a part of the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS), the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum shares the organization's mission to collect, preserve, and share the history and culture of Oklahoma and its people.
