On May 4, 2025, the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center will host an outdoor picnic event from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at its location in Enid, Oklahoma. This event invites guests to enjoy a spring day with the opportunity to experience an early 20th-century style picnic.

Participants will receive a picnic basket for two, complete with a blanket and supplies for an interactive activity, for a ticket price of $40. The event is designed as a versatile outing suitable for Mother’s Day, a lunch date, or a Sunday afternoon getaway with a friend. Tickets are available for purchase online, with a limited quantity offered.

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center operates under the Oklahoma Historical Society, an organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the history and culture of Oklahoma. Founded in 1893 by the Territorial Press Association, the OHS manages museums and historic sites and works to document the history of Oklahoma through various programs and archives.
