Artwork created by high school students from Noble County will be showcased at the Cherokee Strip Museum and Rose Hill School. The Cultural Heritage Art Project exhibition is set to take place on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The juried competition highlights pieces inspired by each student's cultural or family history.

Visitors can view this freestyle exhibit throughout the day. Admission fees are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students, with free entry for children aged five and under. The Cherokee Strip Museum is situated at 2617 W. Fir St. in Perry. Inquiries about museum activities can be directed to 580-336-2405.

The museum, operated with the Cherokee Strip Historical Society, is an affiliate of the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS). The OHS aims to "collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people." Since its inception in 1893 by the Territorial Press Association, the society has been maintaining museums, historical sites, and collaborative organizations statewide. Resources such as research archives, exhibits, and educational initiatives work to document Oklahoma's diverse history. Further details on OHS can be accessed at www.okhistory.org.
