Fort Towson Historic Site in Oklahoma is set to host its annual Christmas event on December 14, from 1-3 p.m. This year's theme is "Traditions," focusing on 19th-century customs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about historical traditions and interact with a soldier from an 1860s military camp, depicted as eagerly awaiting packages from home. The living history interpretation aims to showcase enduring Christmas traditions alongside those that have faded over time.

Additionally, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be present in the sutler store, offering cookies and toys by a warm fire. Visitors can also enjoy tractor tours of the historic grounds and participate in games from the past.
