The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Markwayne Mullin for the United States Senate to represent Oklahoma. This decision highlights Mullin's track record as a supporter of small business policies.
Jerrod Shouse, NFIB Oklahoma State Director, emphasized Mullin's commitment to small businesses during his tenure in the U.S. House, where he achieved a 94% NFIB lifetime voting record. "Markwayne Mullin is a strong supporter of pro-small business policies," Shouse stated. He also noted that Mullin's experience as a small business owner gives him insight into the challenges faced by small employers.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, expressed confidence in Mullin's continued advocacy for Oklahoma’s small businesses if elected to the Senate. "He is a proven small business ally, and we look forward to continuing to work with him," she said.
The endorsement was made by NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee funded through voluntary contributions from members beyond their dues. The decision process is driven by grassroots evaluations conducted by members.
