Christmas festivities planned at Fred and Addie Drummond Home

The Fred and Addie Drummond Home in Hominy, Oklahoma, will host a Christmas open house on Saturday, December 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. Each room of the historic home will feature festive decorations for the season.

Live music will be performed by musicians Jim Garling and Susanne Woolley among others in the parlor. Author Roseanne McKee, who has written for the Pawhuska Journal-Capital and Bartlesville Examiner-Enterprise, along with Osage storyteller Dianne Fallis, will attend. McKee plans to read passages from her novels during the event. Santa Claus is also expected to appear for photo opportunities with guests. Visitors can look forward to receiving a Christmas treat at the conclusion of their visit.

Entry to the open house is included with paid admission. The Fred and Addie Drummond Home is situated at 305 N. Price Ave., Hominy, and operates Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For additional details, interested parties can contact 918-352-5583.

The Drummond Home is part of the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS), an organization dedicated to preserving and sharing Oklahoma's history and culture since its founding in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association. The OHS oversees museums, historic sites, and affiliates throughout Oklahoma while offering research archives, exhibits, educational programs, and publications that document the state's rich history.
