The Oklahoma History Center Museum is set to host a panel discussion on January 27 from 1-3 p.m. in observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. This event aims to reflect on the atrocities committed during the Holocaust, where more than six million Jews and others labeled as undesirable were murdered by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945. The genocide led to approximately 11 million deaths in concentration camps.
The panel will feature Dr. Denise Neal, executive director of the Oklahoma National Guard Museum; Rachel Johnson, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma City; and Michael Korenbilt, an author and member of the OHS Multicultural Office advisory board. They will discuss the involvement and contributions of Oklahomans during this period.
Open to adults with paid museum admission, the discussion will take place in the Musser Learning Lab at the John and Eleanor Kirkpatrick Research Center within the Oklahoma History Center. Registration for this event can be completed online through the Museum Store, with attendance capped at 50 participants. While registration is preferred, it is not mandatory.
