The Oklahoma Transportation Commission is set to hold its monthly meeting on Monday, February 3, at 11 a.m. The meeting will take place in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building located at 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City. Both the public and media are invited to attend or watch via livestream.
Key topics on the agenda include an industry award presentation to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) for their work on the US-281/Route 66 Bridgeport “Pony” Bridge in Canadian County. This project was completed ahead of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration in 2026.
ODOT Executive Director Tim Gatz is expected to provide updates regarding the upcoming legislative session and federal funding status. Additionally, commissioners will vote on several contracts, including a unique engineering contract for the US-70 Roosevelt bridge over Lake Texoma, a continuation of a widening project on SH-33 near Langston, and resurfacing projects on I-35 south of Pauls Valley and US-69 between Muskogee and Wagoner.
The full agenda packet is available online for those interested in more details about the meeting's proceedings.
For those unable to attend in person, a video livestream of the commission meeting can be accessed through Ustream. The session will also be recorded, captioned, and made available online afterward.
The commission consists of nine members appointed by both the governor and legislative leaders to oversee transportation development across Oklahoma. They meet monthly to award contracts for road and bridge construction projects throughout the state.
