Oklahoma City will host the annual awards banquet of the Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) on March 20. During this event, Senator Jo Anna Dossett from Tulsa and Representative John Pfeiffer from Orlando will be honored with the Guardian of History award. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center.

The award acknowledges elected officials who significantly support OHS's mission to collect, preserve, and share Oklahoma's history. Recipients are recognized for their advocacy for the agency's ongoing success. Both Sen. Dossett and Rep. Pfeiffer will receive a plaque as part of their recognition.

Tickets for the banquet can be purchased online, with an RSVP deadline set for March 10. Dr. AJ Griffin, former state senator and current CEO of the Potts Family Foundation, will deliver the keynote address. Joe Dorman, a former state representative now serving as CEO of the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy, will act as emcee.
