A scheduled performance by organist Seamus Gethicker will take place at the Oklahoma History Center on Monday, April 28. From 7 to 8:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy a Kilgen Theatre Organ concert in the Devon Great Hall. The event carries the theme "Ice Cream Social," and ice cream will be served before the performance, encouraging early arrivals.

Seamus Gethicker hails from Bath, Maine, and achieved recognition as the 2016 winner of the American Theatre Organ Society's Young Organist Competition. He has performed at numerous venues across the nation. Gethicker's passion for the pipe organ began at the age of eight when he attended a concert in Portland, Maine. He initially studied classical organ under Ray Cornils and later discovered theatre organ music through online videos. Since 2022, he has been a guest organist at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa, Arizona, noted for having one of the largest theatre organs globally. Gethicker’s performances feature a diverse range of musical selections.

Tickets for the event cost $10 for Oklahoma Historical Society members and $20 for non-members. Purchases can be made online or by calling 405-522-0765.

Located at 800 Nazih Zuhdi Dr. in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma History Center welcomes the public from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
