Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed play at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational on Sunday with a 287 during its third round to finish in seventh place at Olympia Fields Country Club.
The Cowboys' 54-hole tally of 854, 14-over par, put them two shots behind Florida State at the par-70, 7,300-yard layout. Stanford won the event with an 831 total, while Illinois and Florida were second at 843.
Stanford's Michael Thorbjornsen fired a closing 66 to clip the field by one in the individual race with his 7-under 203 total.
Fifth year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen secured his first top 10 of the year, carding a 2-over 72 during his closing round. He finished with an even-par total of 210 to share ninth place.
Jonas Baumgartner carded his second consecutive 70 to finish in a tie for 15th place at 2-over 212. The junior carded a pair of birdies on his front nine to turn in 1-under 34 before posting a 36 on his inward half to get to his even-par score for the day.
Junior Bo Jin signed for a 72 to finish among the group tied for 31st place at 216, while senior Hazen Newman wrapped up play with a 217 total after posting a 73 to finish in sole possession of 38th place.
Senior Rayhan Thomas' 73 tied him for 50th place at 221.
The Cowboys will be back in action on Oct. 3 when they begin play at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational in Fort Worth.
