Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer Lynda Ozan has announced the presentation of an Oklahoma Centennial Farm award and a Historic Structures Award to the owners of a farm in Noble County. Ron and Alice Dwyer, along with the Frederick D. Schirrmacher Trust, are the proprietors of Long View Farm, situated near Perry. The family has maintained hay cultivation and cattle raising on this land since James H. Dolezal, their great-grandfather, settled there in 1904.

The Centennial Farm or Ranch Award requires that a property be occupied by a family member for at least 100 years and currently operated or leased by a family member. Additionally, the property must consist of at least 40 acres and have gross annual sales of no less than $1,000. The Centennial Farm & Ranch Awards program is sponsored by the Oklahoma Historical Society and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. Over its 36-year history, 40 awards have been presented in Noble County.
